So are you saying that the slower you go, the more fuel you will save. So we might as well drive 10mph all the time. I wouldn’t want to be stuck behind that driver. Driving the speed limit is a good idea (for many reasons) but driving 10 miles an hour under is really workable.

For number 7 seems a little bit difficult for over-weight family to save on gasoline, unless there is a way to loss weight for whole family..

I’ve found the perfect solution for me – from 3 years I’m driving on natural gas. It’s twice cheaper compared to petrol and is so far the most eco fuel, even better that bio diesel. The installation cost me around $800 by the time that I bought it but the money paid back only during the 1st year

Very helpful tips. There is also a big difference between automatic and stick shift cars. Switching from drive to neutral save gas. You can’d do that if you drive an automatic car.

Bu the keeping your car in tip top shape also helps. Clean air filter, properly inflated tires, and no junk in the car. The extra weight you lug around uses fuel.

The best thing I did was to get a costco membership card. The cheapest gas anywhere.

Great info. This is one of the best if not the best top ten list on how to save gas prices I’ve ever came across. You definitely know you’re wasting gas if your using your breaks more than your gas pedal.
